Only English today in my blog! I know my Swedish friends are all very good at English, so I'm not worried they wouldn't understand.
Today I will show you how to color your (white) background cardstock using mist. We are not going to use the common way by spraying it on.
I learned this from my friend and scrap colleague Helene Larsson (Sweden). Thank you!
Start white a plain white cardstock. I prefer to use the smooth white one from
Bazzill, it's called
Coconut Swirl.
Take a small plastic bag. I usually save the ones I buy with for example bread in. I also recycle them afterwards. I guess the environment thanks me! ;-)
But for this tutorial I used the fancy ones you buy in the store! Two-liters are perfect in size!
Squeeze the plastic bag in your hand to make a ball .
Then press down your finger in the middle to make a "hole".
Spray down in the "hole" three or four times with the mist of your choice.
Then press the plastic bag on to the cardstock,
and smear the mist on to the paper in any pattern you'd like.
Finish off by splashing some mist around the pattern.
This is how my cardstock turned out with orange mist on it:
And this is antoher one I made with blue/turqouise and pink.
Please look at my layout where I used this technique, in the
BoBunny blog.
HERE it is!
Do you have any other fun technique using mist you'd like to tell me about? Please, leave a comment! I 'd love to come and check your blog!
